Hi,

I'm confused by this Constellation. It has a GK serial number but an Elkhart Bell. No evidence of a 1st valve trigger, no TS brace and lacquer valve block. Is this the real deal or a Franken-horn?

Cheers

That trumpet has had some repairs, plus it needs more work done to it.
Someone may have put a Connstellation bell on a 77B Connquest model trumpet. (See where the bell tail is attached to the first valve casing. Also, that is not a Conn mouthpiece receiver, so the mouthpipe may have been replaced.) Ask the seller some questions.

This is one of the sellers that I will never buy from again. Too many issues with the horn that needed way too much money to fix.

FrankenConn for sure. Connstellation bell on a 77B valve block with an unknown receiver/leadpipe and the wrong leadpipe/bell brace.

Doesn't mean it won't play if the compression is good - just not a Constellation and not worth that much money.
