What’s the best way to add a ringing telephone in a live performance of the Miller chart?

1. Cell phone ring tone set up to "test"
2. Flea market and look for old rotary phone that has not been updated. You will need a battery or other current source, some wire and a switch. Wire directly to the bell.

The issue I see with the cell phone solution is getting the timing/rhythm right. You really want it to start (and more importantly stop) on time.

If you wanted a joke, you could have the band play the excerpt from Taregga's Gran Vals that Nokia used for their ringtone. I would only do this once.
