Does anyone know which backbores were standard for the different cups that Giardinelli made?
For example, I know that with Bach, all C cups come standard with a #10 backbore, whereas all B cups come standard with a #7 backbore.
Is there a comparable system with Giardinelli? If so, which cups correspond to which backbores? |

I was waiting for someone with a better memory to post - I'm pretty sure the default backbore was a #3 with the other backbores as options not automatically assigned by cup depth like Bachs. |

The only non Reeves piece that I play is an old Giardinelli 7B that I use for some church gigs with my Yamaha 8335RGS. I really like it, but I don't know anything about it other than it really works well in certain situations. Thought about sending it to John at Reeves for a copy with a 41 Rim. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Oh - in case you did not know - the Giardinelli separate backbores have a different thread from Warburton but there are MP makers who can duplicate the #3 with Warburton threads or make a top that will accept Giardinelli threads. |

The Warburton NY backbore is their version of the #3
NY Backbore - This backbore was inspired by the sound of the old Giardinelli #3 (default) backbore made popular by Maynard and others in the '70's. The New York sound was broad, bright, and acoustically loud - which are also the qualities of this backbore. Resistance is just a bit tighter than our #5.
