I had the privilege to sample an older Taylor 46 Lite last night. It was the first Taylor trumpet I've ever seen in person, although I have also been able to try a Phat Boy. A couple of the Community Band guys are horn collectors.

I am wondering if anyone on the boards here can share their impression of that model and how it compares with other horns they've played. Also, I'd like to hear if Andy's horns have changed over the years or stayed consistent. Stuff like that.

There is one reason that I practice: to be ready at the downbeat when the final trumpet sounds.
