$90 for an Abbott Professional with a hammered bell on Long Island. No idea what these play like, but I love the look. These were made by Bohland & Fuchs, according to horn-u-copia.

If it's in good shape and it just needs the braces resoldered, that could be a steal. My Benge only needed a slide tube resoldered when I found it.

Thanks for posting the picture. I was compelled to go to the listing and look at the picture full size. Quite a story of a life there: the hymn books, metronome, piano... I expect there's some sheet music in the plastic bin on the floor.

I feel you, man. I get some great deals from estate sales, but it's sad to think of the players that are gone. Especially when it's obviously a well played but well taken care of horn. It reminds me that I'm just a caretaker for the ones in my collection. Luckily, I have a nephew who plays, so when I'm gone they won't be sold off or scrapped.
