Bach had a lot of different bells. The 42 appears fairly often in his later NY builds. This example exhibits the wear/damage that the .019" stock yellow brass he was using extensively in the late 40s, has a tendency for just from heavy use. This poor bell has really been beat-up, so it will be harsher and brighter than it should be at this point due to work-hardening, which will be amplified by how thin it is. _________________ Ron Berndt
