I have a 1893 Boosey & Co. class A Cornet serial#43501 from 1893. Compensating Pistons move freely - no seizure. Offset valves. I am interested in selling this. Does anyone have an idea on pricing? |

Most cornets of that vintage go for around $50-200, roughly - from what I can tell. The supply of them is greater than the demand.
Is this an actual compensating system cornet and not just a normal valved cornet?
What does offset valves mean?
Feel free to link a picture of it or something that's very similar. _________________ LA Benge 3X Bb Trumpet

Yes, it is written on the bell. Class A compensating pistons. The offset valves is probably the wrong terminology as I'm a flute player, not a brass player. The middle piston is slightly offset to allow for the longer length of the middle finger. I will get a picture and upload soon. |
