Recently it occurred to me that Lionel hasn't posted anything in ages. I know he may have ruffled some feathers in his posts, but I found them interesting. He has strong opinions on his using Roy Steven's method.
We went back and forth a few times over some remarks about Carmine Caruso's method. I was a student of Carmine and had great success with his exercises. I also studied with Jerry Callet and used a lot of Jeff Smiley's method in my search. Both helped me.
I realized it was okay to agree to disagree with our different opinions.
If he sees this, I hope he's well and still making progress. Keep on honking!

I think me's been busy playing lead for the Stan Kenton Reunion Band.

Sent him a personal post then other day but so far no answer. I did like his zest when overcoming all kind of obstacles - an ear for the unconventional.
Can´t really explain why but I sure liked the guy.
But then I´m a very fast reader....

He did like the long posts. If this trumpet thing doesn't pan out, he can write novels.
Hope his adventure with Roy Stevens is working out. I met Roy a few times. A real character. Swore like a longshoreman, but a really nice guy.
