Has anyone heard of these people? http://rawbrasstrumpets.com/

I was watching some Tony Glausi videos and noticed that in the later videos he's playing their trumpet, flugel and mouthpiece. He sounds great, but he also sounds great on anything.

Never heard of them before. Looks like a LOT of Monette visual influence in their designs. I have no interest in one, just curious about them and their name doesn't lend well to searching on this forum.

I think they were more popular 10-15 years ago when heavy trumpets were more trendy. I recall Marquis Hill, BrassTracks, and a few other famous artists were using their instruments around that time. The valve blocks on most of their instruments look like they're from Getzen, but a few pics of the "24k gold plated" trumpet look like a Schilke block. I'm not sure how many trumpets they're making, but I would be surprised if it's more than a handful per year.

Good to know, thank you! I had never heard of them prior to now! I figured they were a new player.

I actually know the guy that made them personally. His name is Ben.

Last time I spoke to him in person he said he no longer makes trumpets. He sees that time as a season of his life that ended. He moved on. He actually sold all the tools and machinery.
