Basic recording questions here, I'm pretty much a novice in the recording area.
I have been plugging an AKG P420 directly into an FX Pro 12 v. 3 and the sound isn't too bad for simple YouTube recordings. Much better than directly into an iPhone, Zoom, etc.
I have an ART Voice Channel that I just tried using as a Preamp; it has given me more volume at least. I also have an ART Pro MPA II; the sound with the Voice Channel seems a bit better for trumpet recording, although the vocal sound with the PRO MPA II is pretty nice.
For those who might have used either ART pieces, what settings have you found to work best for trumpet(s)?
