How would you recommend working on CC exercises on a time crunch?
I've explored Caruso and Flexus in the past a bit with wonderful results. However, I find myself with very limited time to play the trumpet these days - maybe 30 minutes 5 times a week. (Wife and I just had a baby a few months ago )
I really enjoy the benefits of CC, but want to leave time for some flexibility, fundamentals, and music. So I think I can do about 2 CC exercises per practice session.
My thought is to do 6 notes (or Flexus variants, which I really like) every day, and one other exercise, working through the various CC exercises weekly following the lesson layout in MCFB. (I.e., 2nds, 3rds, harmonic series, 4ths, SLS, etc.)
Does this sound like a reasonable approach?
Also, I watched the CC clinic Pat did back in 2017. At one point it was mentioned that CC can be used with other methods, and I think Pat demonstrated Clarke 2 with the 4 rules. What do you think Caruso would say about using the 4 rules with say Irons? |

Be sure to read and follow, closely, the text. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird
