Shameless plug
I (Cookie of CookieMute) will be at ITG this year. Last year I just had mutes there, but this year I will be there in the flesh!
I'll have:
•Free "I Got My CookieMute at ITG" stickers and Keychains with every purchase
•The entire color lineup of the original CookieMute: Black, Stealth Black, Rainbow, Orange, Green, Red, Blue, and Purple
•A bunch of Mystery Flavor mutes (one of a kind color mix/match from the ends of spools)
•Limited Edition Pink/Red original CookieMutes
•A piccolo CookieMute prototype that I'm looking to get feedback on
•Soprano and XL CookieMutes (Eb cornet/trumpet and flugelhorn/tenorhorn/tenor trombone, respectively)
•Our line of traditional mutes which I'm really proud of.
I'm really looking forward to being back at my first ITG since 2017, so come stop by the Larson BrassWerks booth to try some of Ken's trumpets, my mutes, and say hi! _________________ CookieMute.com |

Sounds great, David. I'm not going to ITG this year, but I do have a Cookie Mute in my case right now to take to the beach for Memorial Day weekend.
I'll be interested in hearing most about the picc version.
Have a great show!! _________________ Pat Shaner

Thanks!
The piccolo mute has been a journey. I've had people asking since last year's ITG - but it kept getting put on the backburner. In December I ran off a first test the night before a messiah gig (as one does), and it was pretty good, but the pitch was funky.
I let that marinate for a while and went through 6 more versions to get something I was really happy with. I had a few people try it and most were positive, but before I let it out in the wild I want to make sure it fits in the most common piccolos out there. Plus, a lot of people approach picc differently, and they might be looking for different aspects in a practice mute than me.
If all goes well, I'll be releasing it soon! _________________ CookieMute.com |
