Gosh, I hope I'm doing this right, but here goes. At the recommendation of another Trumpet Herald member, I wanted to introduce myself and give you a little background so that when you see my posts on Marketplace, you will have confidence that I am legit. So here goes. My late brother collected, among other things, musical instruments. He had 70 at the time of his passing, including 6 cornets, 14 trumpets, and 2 flugelhorns. I am the Successor Trustee and Executor of his estate (not a beneficiary) and have been actively trying to part with these instruments for the past year. I took some of the larger instruments to Baltimore Brass on consignment, sold a few on Craigslist, but have used Trumpet Herald for the higher end instruments. My brother never really played them. He just bought them new, admired them, and then tucked them away for 10-15 years. I like to think of it as similar to finding a vintage car is some deceased guy's garage. I currently have an Antoine Courtois Paris, a Sonare, a Getzen cornet, and a couple of other things on Marketplace. Shortly, I will post several cornet and trumpet mouthpieces ( my brother bought more mouthpieces, reeds, etc. than one can imagine). Anyway, that's my story. Thanks for listening. It's been quite a journey! |
