Hi there, down i Czech!
This is a forum for people using "The Balanced Embouchure". It is a self help system. You are your own teacher, but you can ask for help and advice in this forum. If you read through the forum, you will see that there are people from all over the world. So far no one from the Czech Republic. You could be the first!
Why don't you order the book? Ko, in Holland can help you.
What type of playing are you interested in?
When I was in Prague, I heard several good classical trumpet players. I've also met some very good jazz trumpet players, they were members of the Gustav Brom Big Band (I did a couple of performances with that band here in Norway - as member of a vocal choir).
Where in Czech do you live?
Regards,
Ole from Norway |

Thanks, Ole.
If you are interested in the book, feel free to contact me at larrios60@hotmail.com. It's no problem to get it in the Czech Republic.

Hi Zed,
I guess you are right about most players (even those in Prague) - they are "naturals". In Germany you have Markus Stockhausen. He was a student of Carmine Caruso, and he published a book in German about the "Basic Caruso". But Markus is pretty busy, so I don't know if he take students.
B.E. is "younger" than Caruso, so I don't think you find many jazz players in Europe using it yet. Luckily on this forum we have Bert, also from Holland. He is a very good jazz player and composer (I have his last CD). He uses B.E., both for himself and for his students.
Ole

Zed, this is getting a bit off topic, or?
I don't have the book by Esko Heikkinen, "Brass Chop Manual". But, as a bookaholic, I will try to get it
Where did you buy it? I don't find it on the Internet?
Esko is a good player, btw, I've heard him in Copenhagen with a Finnish Big Band.
