Citzens,
How many stamps could James Stamp stamp if his hand cramped from stamping stamps while it was damp?

Hey Batman,
This a forum for people trying to improve their trumpet playing, not people who make fun of great teachers who I am sure you have never heard of or know anything about. GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey 1B. Don't even waste your time with this guy. I totally agree that this is a forum for those trying to imrove or at least intelligently talk about the subject of playing trumpet.

Hopefully if we ignore him, he will just go away.

He's the reason for this joke:

Q: What do trumpet players use for birth control?
A: Their personalities!

Okayguys,
something serious.... By itself visiting the Trumpet Herald Web site you will not make you a better player. Sounds odd but it's true. No more than reading Sports Illustrated will make you hit more homeruns. The web site is a good source of information and one can gain alot of knowledge no doubt but if you don't practice you won't get any better. As far as the birth control crack goes that could work both ways.

Finally Batman is prompted to use words like a regular person. That's a start.
His self-proclaimed mission is an excuse to intimate snide attitudes in the name of honesty and inclusiveness, but actually we don't need an "avenger" here. Everyone is free to use TH as they wish, and I would wager that it has inspired More good practice time to occur amongst all kinds of trumpeters than would have happened without it.

Patrick and pfrank,
Thank you for the positive comments. Patrick, I really enjoy your posts, and I especially enjoyed your response to goals. You guys are both a credit to this site. I will take your advice and ignore others who don't get it. Thanks again.

Gee Guys,
I really didn't think the post would cause you guys to hate me so much. I do apologize, I've got to quit mixing my own valve oil. James Stamp, a great horn player who turned out some outstanding students. Who can argue with that? Once again I am sorry my sense of humor didn't sit well with you guys. I'll work on my sense of humor and you all get one, if you use a Farkas embouchure the smile you develope may strengthen your chops.

Ever Sorry
Batman

Actually,
I believe Stamp used to recommend you don't smile... Anyways, my teacher always recommends you push together instead of apart becuase it lets you put more in the mouthpiece.

I think a little humor helps... I don't think Batman is being bad spirited.
