well, thats cool, but I went up to a high G today after an hour of playing. We were fooling around in class (that never happens in our wonderfly organized band of 8 ppl [please note the sarcasm ]

but my teacher is also a trumpet player, and he is a symphonic player and has a boat for a mouth piece. like a 1 B or something big(i think atrombone one is almost that big )
but i tried out his mouthpiece, and he gets his picc mouthpiece. We played surfin USA up an octave (only high Fs. ) after that i harmonically lip slurred up and went to a G (after 2 mins of low pedals.)

that was my day.

Is there any benefit in playing triple pedal C? Just curious. Doesn't it distort your embochure if you try to get that low?

When you say triple C it sounds higher than it really is, atleast to me. I just call it high C. I usually play a "High C" in part of my warm down execises. And I use a Bach 1 mp.

If triple C is another way of saying C3 then it is the C two lines above the staff. I'm shure of this because its in the Pocket Manual of Musical Terms.

QuadC,

If I understand this right, low C is first line below the staff. Pedel C is an octave below that. No problem.

You mean it's possible to play another 1, 2, 3, octaves below pedal. And if so why not play the Tuba?

I don't get it,
Phil
