First off, the Quadruple C was to the person, not the note. I'm not quite THAT high yet. 
I'm pretty sure it was something that you posted that said the higher you play the more it is like whistling. I whistle a lot, and I was wondering if you could elaborate on that some, to see if I could modify my embouchure slightly and soar up a couple more notes. 
I can almost whistle a quadruple C. LOL |

Replying to myself... I feel real low.
Actually, I just felt like saying that slowly adjusting my embouchure to be more like I was whistling has been helping my higher register. Today my rebuilding process went from a high D-E to a high F-G.
Too bad I'll have to do it all over again once the permanent caps go on. Argh! |

That is almost exactly what I've been doing, but you actually gave me some exercises to help fix what I feel like has been going wrong. I've actually been trying to get to a point where I can whistle as cleanly as Maynard plays in all the songs I have, and trying to keep up with the Carnival of Venice (Wynton Marsalis). Wynton nearly sent my tongue flying out of my mouth. That's hard.

Read this thread yesterday and of course had to go try it out. I've been pretty constant at E-F for quite some time, but last night had some pretty consistent halfway decent sounding G-A's happening. And this is on my 43L Strad with a truck size GR 67L m/p! I'm a cappy hamper ! |
