... lost power for about two hours here tonight as the wind and rain from Ivan came through.
Kids: We don't have anything to dooooo.....!!!
Me: I was in the middle of playing, and though I could no longer make out the music on the stand, I continued working on scales, tone and important overall doodling. In fact, it just seemed kind of right to be playing along in the dim gray light as the storm raged outside.
I was a little distressed that my electronic generation children were at such a loss without the beloved TV and X-Box. My distress was alleviated a little when after about an hour my daughters pulled out their plastic "recorders" and started doodling some on their own.
Maybe there's hope after all. |
