A'ight, that's just the sickest looking piece of food I've ever seen. I'm 20, 6'1", and 165 lbs., and I'm scared of a heart-attack just looking at that thing.

Geez, looking at that I'd say 1420 calories is a very conservative estimate!

True. Might as well just chow down on a bucket of lard.

There's a difference, lard doesn't taste good.

I'd eat it.

Might have two on a training day.

I'm your height and I've got 50 lbs on you.

You stay in on windy days, eh?

That's a heart attack and/or stroke just waiting to happen.........it's no wonder that heart disease kills so many people in America. 1,420 calories is almost one full day's worth of calories... I can't even imagine how much fat and sodium are in that thing. Can someone find out all the nutrition information and post it? If I can find it... I'll post it...

That's nowhere near a full days intake. Any grown man's daily maintenance requirement is around 2500 cals. I personally aim for around 3500cals per day.

Okay... my wording was not good... but that is still over 50% (56% to be exact - if your daily caloric intake is 2500 calories) of your daily caloric intake in one burger... not healthy at all if you are trying to watch your weight or have a healthy body. If you are trying to gain weight... that would probably be the quickest way. I think 3500 calories are perfectly fine for men who work out a lot, but for some American men that would just make them fatter. LOL

Especially when I'm in heavy training condition (brings me up to 4000cal/day) I avoid that stuff. The more you eat, the more of unhealthy ingredients will accumulate. Heavy exercise has to be counterbalanced by a lot of vitamines.

Which reminds me:
The day after the London marathon, when I was sightseeing with my lady, I felt like eating fish'n chips, asd everybody knows that everywhere in England the favourite food is fish'n chips. We were looking around. There was hardly decent food anywhere in London, but definitely no fish'n chips. So, being a bit weak that day (guess, why) I gave up, entered an Aussie pub and order some kangaroo (first time in my life I ate roo without killing it myself). Just after the order I saw a sign on the wall: Today's special: Fish'n Chips. Well, just a second too late. The roo was great.
When we got back to the hotel, together now with seven other runners from my team, just at the train station I saw that sign: 'Fish'n Chips' Everybody joined me. So, now you had us eight, mostly very meager rushing in and getting that stuff. It was huuuuuge, something to get a family going for the whole day. All soaked with cheap fat, big portion of fries, large piece of fish mantled with a one-inch bread-crump coating, virtually dripping of oil. And that after months of low-fat diet.

They still blame me for the incident at my team.

Hate to be a killjoy but according to all the available research that has been done on this subject (and quite a bit has been) the most popular foodstuff in the UK is actually curry - chicken tikka massala, to be more exact.
Saying that, fish'n'chips is traditionally a very British meal. The only reason for playing on the bandstand in Eastbourne (one of the finest bandstands in the country, on the coast - a place commonly known as God's Waiting Room - the average age of the population of Eastbourne is fairly high) is a magnificent fish 'n' chip shop next to the pier.

That burger looks amazing - not sure I could manage one though (despite being a big lad).

Uli, what is your P/C/F ratio when eating 4000c/day Are you high carb for marathons? I could never understand endurance athletes. Very catabolic.

If I was my brother (growing, growing, growing, teenage guy), I wouldn't give it a second thought. Well maybe a second one, but not a third! I know people like my uncle could eat that with no problem, he was a body builder a short time ago. He'd eat anything, he'd always be hungry. I can't imagine that appealing to the general public though. There aren't a whole lot of body builder types!

At 5'4" and 127lb I can't afford that many calories in one burger

Speaking of fat, did anyone read the article in the National Geographic magazine with a picture of a VERY fat person on the cover? I just saw it at the dentist today. Yikes!

107 grams of fat.

2/3 lb of "beef"
four pieces of bacon
two pieces of cheese
mayonaise

Just add a fried egg and dig a hole for yourself to be buried in.

What's the protein count?

And what's wrong with fried eggs?

Gee, if you guys think that is impressive you should see what you can order out west at In 'n Out. This is a hamburger chain in California, parts of Nevada and Arizona. Their 'Double Double' has been around for years and is as big as the Hardees burger. You can also get a 'Triple triple' or a 'four by'---as in three or four hamburgers stacked all together! You can also order 'animal style' with lots of meat juices dripping all over it.

I've been eating 'Double doubles' for years....in fact, it's about time for one just before heading to band............

Here in Boston there's a 3lb. Burger featured that's named after the football player who allegedly ate one. That's 3lbs. beef before the cheese and bacon. To break their record, you have to supposedly eat it with 2lbs. of fries or something.

At least we have lots of medical centers w/ cardiac units here

The best thing of all is that I'm in my forties and my cholesterol has never been over 150! Bloodpressure runs 120/80. Oh well, maybe a bus will be my demise......

I'm not so accurate in calculating my PCF ratios, but it is sure high carb. Mostly cereals and salad. I just love to eat and so it has to be with enough fibre. Unfortunately the passed year was with little running and very anabolic. I prefer the catabolic results. It's better to run than to scare.
