I've been trying to find a copy of MCFB for the last month with no luck. Today I checked out the J. W. Pepper website and they have it listed as "permanently out of print and out of stock".

Now what? The URLs listed by other posters on this forum are either no good or they're out of stock, too.

Any ideas?

Have you tried,

http://www.tulsaband.com

http://www.rkingmusic.com

The book is listed as being in stock at both places.

It's also available from the Brasswind catalog.

Bugleboy,

Tulsa Band gave me J. W. Pepper's name because they didn't have it. But Robert King Music has it listed and took my order. Now we'll see if it's in stock.

Thanks, John

Nope. Just got an email from them. "We are no longer able to get this book".

And Brasswind doesn't list it anymore, either.

Does somebody want to scan it and make it available? The fact that it's permanently out of print tells me the publisher doesn't care about it anymore.

John

I spoke with someone who is pretty close to Carmine's affairs and they were unaware of the book going out of print. They also didn't know who was controlling the publication rights of the work. If it is going out of print permanently we sould start a grass roots movement to get another publisher to pick it up. Barring that, we could try to make the book available on the web (as Roddy did with the Cat Anderson book).

I am trying to replace my original copy...which somehow walked out of my studio. I would like to know if one of you could look at your copy and tell me who owns the copyright to the book and give me an address (if that is in there somewhere).

Is it A & M?

I think I'll write and find out who owns the rights, just in case it is in fact permanantly out of print.

Hobbes,

W & B says they have it in stock. I'll know for sure soon.
