The voting is not working.
To answer your question I would say yes, depending on what dates you are talking about.
I have been thinking about that myself.
P.S. The voting program is working now. _________________ Philip Satterthwaite

Seems highly unlikely
Not sure I can afford the flights.
Oh well, maybe we shoudl try for a UK TH meet?
Might make it easier for those of us who are not US based. |

A TH Gathering could be piggy backed with a large jazz festival or other event.
I'm hosting the Santa Cruz Jazz Festival on Fri March 25 and Sat March 26 here in Santa Cruz, CA. THers are welcome to come by and say HI.
Fri night our big band is backing BILL WATROUS in concert. Also, Bill is giving clinics both Fri & Sat. Other clinics by pros, including Kenton alum trumpeter RAY BROWN.
Both days &both nights: ONLY $10for an all access button!

That's wierd. I'm actually planning on going to Ohio for the summer to help my grandmother. Other wise I would never be able to go. |

I would have to know the dates and stuff, but I would really have to see. I don't know, I voted yes, but it depends on what my parents say....

Hmmmm ... I'm still trying to determine if I have the time to put something like this together.
Let me renew a comment I made in another thread: send me a PM if you live in the area and could help set something like this up. (If you've already PM'd me about this, you don't need to send me another one!)
I'm really impressed with the number of people who live a significant distance away who are interested in this! Just remember, if you don't visit Cincinnati, you don't get the opportunity to see in person this astonishingly beautiful landmark:

Skyline chili is pretty dissapointing. For me. 'Course, I don't remember the food at all. All I can remember is that tantalizing advertisement of "real southern sweet tea" in the window. Of course by sweet tea they meant they had watered the tea plant thing with sugar water or something. Worst tea ever, and that's the only memory I have. And that's why the north will never be great...how can you call yourself great when half the resturaunts are like "Wweet tea? What is this?" |

A thought on this matter (even though I doubt I will be in attendance).
I have no idea on US geography, so please ignore this if it is not a decent thought.
In Oxford, Ohio you have James Olcott, past president of the ITG, awesome trumpeter, professor of trumpet (Miami University), and proprietor of Triplo Press - a superb source of trumpet ensemble music. I am sure he would like to be involved and might be persuaded to bring along some of his arrangements/publications.
If you haven't yet come across Triplo - http://www.triplo.com/ - well worth spending some money there (trust me, I have over half the catalogue ). |

Mike -- great suggestion! I'm kicking myself for forgetting about Miami, especially since my wife is a Miami grad
Miami is quite convenient to Cincinnati ... if we do this thing, there's no reason our resident RedHawks couldn't join in the fun! _________________ Steve Thiel
