Instead of a teenager forum I think a forum for novices or comebackers would be appropriate. In light of the fact that there are many accomplished players who visit this site some may feel uncomfortable asking elementary questions in the same forum where others are discussing problems that may ascertain to college or pro players. A forum such as this may be more suitable for teenagers to post in also. Just a thought.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I hesitate to add the "player" after comeback in my case. I played in HS band some 50 years past. Playing taps for military funerals got me again interested in the trumpet. I have now gone to to the extreme and purchased a Wild Thing, and am now working on chops.

Right on Ed!!!!

Tim, I think that's a fabulous idea. I just posted a lengthy bit in the teenage forum area, and this seems like it would be a great way to get around the different issues or problems inherent in the 'teen' forum area.

I think it bites that folks feel badly about asking elementary questions. Hopefully in my posts I haven't done anything that has made people feel that way.

I think it's of ultimate importance to get all the best information on the elementary stuff especially, as once you have mastered the basics, the rest is gravy in perspective.

I say do whatever makes the person comfortable. Everyone should have the right to learn in the way most comfy for them.

Trumpet Herald already has a fundementals forum wich is basically for the fundemental stuff. So if you're a beginer or a comeback that would probably be the place for you to go.

Just My Opinion
