Again, these were given to me from my teacher Bob Labak. A friend and teacher who studied with CC as I did.

Physical Properties

The Caruso exercises are set to time. Time is the medium by which we synchronize muscular movement.
The football player running through tires prior to the playing of a football game is performing calisthenics for the main purpose of co-ordinatingthe movements of his muscles

(Timing). Physically exposing his body to demands which will be put upon him during an actual game.
Caruso exercises are similarly exposing muscles to various physical demands with the use of a time element.

Always make sure you set up for the note, not the volume. Volume is the product of an increase air intensity(Speed). Think of the physical act for greater understanding.

The feel that accompanies the 6 notes for the first time is often strange or different. This is nothing to be concerned about. The muscles are reacting from the exposure to a new balance or fit. The muscles may be exhibiting greater tension between themselves. In time pressure will equalize and any fatigue due to muscle tension will gradually leave.

MISTAKES DON'T MEAN ANYTHING! They occur either because of the players ignorance or because is not yet physically capable of performing the demand.

There is a definite need to develop physical stability in the muscles first before introducing running studies to the player. The interval studies along with nose breathing helps solidify muscular balance.

Muscles learn by relating!

Gliss Pedal: The purpose of the gliss pedal is to get the mouthpiece away from the lips. This will subsequently aid flexibility, range, and remove hand twist, etc...

Muscular Stiffness: Any part of the body that has to change its muscular balance for some reason, will experience stiffness. (Ex. Walking on a golf course bare footed)

DON'T DO THE CC EXERCISES WHEN TIRED! This would produce
unwanted stiffness and possibly manipulations.

More to Come!!!!!!!!!
