My brothers (all 15 and younger) can't stand onions. They have told my sister and I "you haven't learned how to cook yet, you put onions in!" and don't like to eat anything we make with onions in it (meatloaf, baked beans, etc).
They told me this morning that a lot of adults just can't stand onions. We are trying to convince them that they'll grow out of not liking onions.
You can't even see the onions in half the things we make.

Well I'm not a fan of just eating plain raw onions, but I like them in foods like tacos, on hamburgers, etc.
Sounds like the right option for you would be YES!!!!!

I always keep some raw red onions chopped up in the 'fridge.
There are few foods that can't be improved with onions! _________________ John

I don't like the texture, but I do like the flavor (mildly). So for pasta, casserole, etc. I chop the onion into small pieces, the put it in the blender with a bit of liquid. Purees them nicely. |

Every summer I make a trip to Salisbury Beach on the MA coast just south of NH for the best onion rings in creation. You have to eat them hot though. If they cool off, they are garbage. |

I had to say no because generally I do not. But I do like onion rings. But other than that, no. _________________ DT

Much as I quite enjoy the flavour of onion rings, I am not such a fan of the frequent after-effects - I voted no. |

Yes Yes Yes
Onions are vital to so many good recipes. From Casseroles & Stews to Curries & Oriental dishes.
Raw red onion in salad is also great, or my personal favourite: slices of raw white onion on a cornbeef sandwich with mayo... marvellous! _________________ Adrian

Viva la Vadelia!
Yeah I love onioins....raw or cooked.
If you like sauteed onions and cream cheese, you must try this:
Take a whole onion (preferably sweet), and cut criss-cross with out cutting all the way through. Then take a good amount of cream cheese and work it into all of the crevices. Do likewise with butter. Salt, pepper, garlic (optional, but highly encouraged) and wrap in a double layer of foil, and throw it on the BBQ or oven, and cook the heck out of it. Hour and a half at minimum... the longer the better.
This is one of my all-time favorite side dishes...
