Read what the extreme fanatical islamists are saying and writing about the US - The big "Satan", remember how some "nice" people in the middle east danced on roof tops and passed around candies when they heard about the 9/11. It's the same for me to read his venomous spew on his web site as it is for decent americans to read about american haters.
Boils down in my opinion, for both cases, to a (justified) Inferiority complex. That's all there is to it.
