Could someone please inform me on what was James Stamp's warm up routine and was it applied to all of his students?

Also, is there anything published in this regard that one can order or share?

Thanks,

Liad

Jimmy developed a set of drills, some of which are loosely based on Schlossberg, which he published in a book entitled "Warm-ups and Studies" available from Editions BIM in Switzerland.

However, it was not so much the specific materials he used as the approach that he brought to them which was so helpful.

Jimmy did endorse a certain amount of mouthpiece buzzing - probably this is what he is best-known for. It is also not well-understood by many who pick up the book - and some of the text in the book could be more descriptive and helpful.

I have a web page which describes how I was taught to do the drills by a Stamp student, Bert Truax. (Also one of Todd's teachers, I think) The url is: http://www.geocities.com/vienna/strasse/7826/stamp.html

Hope this helps, drop me a line if something isn't clear.

Matt
