Anybody familiar with the book "Brass Wind Artistry - Master Your Mind, Master Your Instrument" by Paul Severson & Mark McDunn? They are both trombonists. It was recommended to me by a teacher thinking that the same concepts would apply to trumpet.
Any comments? |

I read it several years ago, it makes a lot of good points. One of the authors was a student of Arnold Jacobs and you can see his influence in some of the ideas.
Best wishes,

Mark McDunn was my teacher about 20 years ago when I was in Junior High School. He used to teach many trombone and trumpet players. He handed out that book on everyone's first lesson. It was a little bit deep for me at the time, but it has tons of good ideas in there for any performer.
