My Refinish job on a Conn 20B:
I had to sand the old finish off with sandpaper and steel wool. Afterwards, I coated the raw brass with an automotive clearcoat. Bad idea, it's already scratching off in many places, so I ordered and recieved a different type of clearcoat from eastwood.com. It's specially formulated for raw metal application. I'll probably put a few coats of that on, after removing the current clearcoat.
Even the current application really made a difference in cosmetics! _________________ Work in Progress |

You have more courage that I have... I would never dare sanding a vintage Conn even if the finish was gone! _________________ Franois
