My private teacher converted what I believe was a Monette flugel piece for a Bb for things like Haydn 2nd mov't. I think i'm getting it straight but maybe it's the other way around.... |

From what I understand, Monette flugel mouthpieces are built to the specific horn. If it is one they have available to them they can build it off of that, if they don't have one, then you have to send your flugel to them. I lucked out, in that Thompson Music had one in stock when I went there to get a new flugel. It is the best flugel mouthpiece I have ever used. |

I recently got my monette trumpet mouthpieces at Thompson's Music. I haven't heard back from him yet about a flugel piece. I'm guessing he has nothing around there for flugel. I'm kind of waiting to hear back from Mike ... until then my Flip Oakes works fine.... and for no more than I play the flugel, I may just stick with what I have... but sure would like to try a Monette flugel mpc. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/hughes1946
