If you're looking for some amazing jazz trumpet CDs I must suggest the following:
Orbert Davis - Priority
Jeremy Pelt - Profile
Marcus Printup - The New Boogaloo
I'd be curious to hear from anyone who has these CDs. I love 'em!! |

I played a summer with Marcus Printup. He is a truly remarkable human being.
If anybody ever comes int contact with him, ask him to do the "nose trick". It has nothing to do with playing. Tell him Eric sent you.

I've just received Orbert's CD to review for the ITG- It's fantastic. I used to catch him at the Bop Shop in Chicago. I think the group was called Paul Wertico's Groove Thang or something. Anyway, I was blown away, because two days later I saw him playing the Nutcracker Ballet. What a great all around player.
