just got a great who's who of trumpets type cd. so it got me woundering... is there a cornetist that plays "classics" like the Trumpet concertos in D maj ( motzart or hayden).. Abblasen....Brandenburg concerto. etc etc etc? Also instaed of Picc would an Eb work as well?

I hear Gerard Schwarz played the Brandenburg on a Bb cornet once.. :O
Also, Wynton does a ton of cornet and piccolo trumpet stuff. I'd reccomend listening to a different player for the piccolo stuff, though, because you're learn these great baroque pieces and then sadly find out later that most of the notes were added in. And we're talking way past the point of ornamentation.
