I dont understand why when someone has a question some argument has to come out of it. We are all trumpet players here and we should all get along because we love playing. To the older more experienced players most of the new members joining are younger players looking for advice and we do end up asking questions that strike pet peeves in some of you but we dont need rude answers. Criticism is always a right to everyone but please fellow trumpet players we shouldn't fight.
Thanks for listening

Well when your screenname makes it sound like you might be trombone player..... euuuuugh!
just kidding.
Why doesn't everybody cooperate in the world? Why can't we all love our enemies? Because evil exists. This doesn't mean, though, that we shouldn't try to create as much peace and harmony as possible. _________________ "Music is a combination of logic and emotion that together express more than either could possibly express alone." |

Tromba is actually the Italian word for trumpet, I believe. _________________ Bill Mirrielees

Why can't be get along? Simple answer! We are humans as such will conduct ourselves as humans! Unfortunately this has been a problem since day one and it won't change. Unfortunately we do not live in perfect world! However, I do agree that we should strive to be a family! Also keep in mind that how one perceives a comment can make a big difference! |

Yes, we will conduct ourselves as humans; this means that controversy and disagreement are givens, which I think is your point. I want to add, though, that being human means that we have a choice in how we respond to controversy. We can choose to respond respectfully in response to disagreement, making the Reveille Forum superfluous and leaving the Moderators with nothing to do but ditch spammers and pornographers. Wouldn't that be sweet? _________________ Steve Thiel |

Swithiel,
You too are correct but again understand that although we have choices, it is the "human" nature in us that sometimes makes us say and do things before we think. Wrong move and we pay the price. Sometimes even a correct move and we pay the price! In short, I agree with everything being said here. Just keep in mind that for everything said, someone will have an opionion, right or wrong! Good job guys! |

Good thread guys/girls.
I often feel that too many threads turn into war zones around here.
Best to you all

Despite the occasional friction there is an overriding atmosphere of support I appreciate. Lots of great thoughts, advice, and experiences that would take a lifetime to collect without this board. Whenever people get together in large numbers........in any forum........there will be the inevitable human problems....................just hope I'm never one of them _________________ Larry Pfeifer |
