Anyone know of a collection of solo cornet parts from the most frequently played concert band arrangments?
I'm looking for the equivalent of the well-known orchestral excerpts for trumpet.
Thanks!

Schirmer has the "Bandman's Trumpet Repertoire" in 2 Volumes. The collection consists of trumpet/cornet parts for concert band.
They seem impossible to find. I think they are currently out of print, but I checked the Schirmer website and they still list Vol.1 as available. Anyone else know anything about this collection?

Walking Frog Records has some great cornet cds and march cds. With the cds you can order the solo cornet parts to go along with them - exaxtly as they are on the cds. Less than $30/piece as I recall. _________________ Best Regards, Play Well!! |
