I think a sticky with Jazz pedagogy web sites would be useful. The patterns PDFs would be a good place to start.

I agree as well. Speaking of which, have any of you guys checked out Larry's Improv page?? It's a huge resource run by Tony Miceli, a great vibraphone player in Philly. Check it out. The link is www.larrysimprovpage.com.

There is an excellent description here of the different reharmonizations of a minor blues. Could be very helpful for a series of lessons on blues form.

The piano player Lennie Tristano was one of the first really great jazz teachers.
