Has anyone received an email recently that appears to have come from TH? I did, it smelled fishy so I have not clicked on any of the links in the email. Just wondering if it's legit.

I copied and pasted the email into the "contact us" form.

I got one too, the same as Trent. Came here to tell you guys about it and see I'm not alone.

It wasn't sent to my email address that is linked to TH, but to an email address I use when listing stuff in the Marketplace. With all the scammers there, I made a seperate email address that I could delete in case I was responding to some loser.

What I'm saying is that I'm confident that the scam emails are related to the Marketplace.

Yep, that's the one. I am sure it is linked to the Market Place listings. Having a unique email for those listings might be a good idea. I will give it some thought.

REMEMBER: DO NOT click any links in suspicious looking emails. Back out of the email and access the site through normal channels to look into what's going on.

Oh boy, I received it and clicked as instructed. It just brought me back to the sign in window. Yep, looks like I'll be buying one of those identity theft coverages like "lifelock" real soon.

Hopefully you didn't actually sign in...

If you did, I'd go through all of the services that you have linked to the email you received the scam email at (bank, ebay, credit cards, utilities, etc...) and change your password at least, and (I would suggest) your email to a brand new one.

Now, if you had a chinchilla with butter and syrup, we'd be in business.

Interesting... when you click on the link in the email it redirects you to www.trunpetherald.com (notice the "N" instead of an "M".

It doesn't look like there's any syrup on those pancakes, I like pancakes with lots of butter and syrup!
