I think I have used a Ferrees product to take laquer off in the past. Just get the horn buffed to a shiny finish, everything else is just scratching your trumpet. |

Just got my horn back today everyone, and it looks great! I would recommend this fellow to anyone in this area who wants this process done.
so, how do I get a patina and make my horn darken up real nice? _________________ (List horns here) |

I will be getting my Strad back probably in a week or so after having the lacquer stripped and the horn left in raw brass. Rolling360 recommended leaving the horn out on a stand rather than in a case as this accelerates the tarnishing process. Makes sense. I am also going to try to handle the horn by using a soft cotton hankerchief to minimize fingerprints. _________________ Richard
