A Brasspire 900H arrived at my door two days ago. $1040 USD from ACB.

This thing is impressive for a Chinese-made horn. (Brasspire is Japanese, but this horn is made in China.) The fit and finish are outstanding at this price point. The slotting is very good but not in a stuffy way - it's more open than a Bach 37. The ovate tuning slide is cool looking. Intonation is much better than average. It came with a generic "7C" that's closer in size to a typical 5C.

It's a fairly heavy horn but not uncomfortably so. The valves feel weighty, but they're somehow fast. The Amado water key works efficiently. The sound is brighter than I expected. It has a five-inch bell (roughly).

My other Chinese horn is greatly inferior. It's almost a toy in comparison.

I want to thank Garot Michael Conklin on YouTube for reviewing this model a couple of years ago. I see now why he liked it so much.

Hope you enjoy it. It's fun when you get a new horn that you can immediately say, "Wow" to. I just got a reconditioned Benge Cornet from Josh Landress that immediately blew me away. Enjoy.
