Wow, what a great Mendez Institute this year! 205 registered participants, plus 21 faculty members. 74 student participants this year!
For those of you worried about Ronnie Romm, he is out of the hospital now and back to normal. We thought he may have needed bowel surgery there for a while, but all is "clear" now.

How I wish I could have gone this year. Unfortunately summer session classes prevented my getting away for a few days during the week.
What exactly happened with Mr. Romm? I hadn't heard anything about this... Which makes me feel kinda like a moron after I just sent him and Dr. Ewald an e-mail in regards to graduate school.
I'm glad to hear he's doing better. |

He had a digestive blockage due to the shrinking of a scar left on his bowels after an operation a few years ago. The blockage made him very sick for a couple of days.
He was in the hospital a short while so doctors could keep an eye on the situation. Fortunately, the blockage opened up again and he did not need surgery. He is doing great as usual! |
