Iis there a way to embed an audio file, like an iTunes file, as opposed to a YouTube link in a post? I've got a recording that is not commercially available by a well known trumpet player that I'd like to share with the group, but I don't know how to do it.

I think the best you can do is to find a place on the net to host the file, then post a link. There's no file storage capability for TH users, and no special tags like the ones used for YouTube.

that's too bad. finding a site tohost it, signing up with the site, learning how to post the file, etc., is a bit more than I'm prepared to do. if someone has a quick fix...

There is one minor detail that you are overlooking, and that is bandwidth. It can get pretty expensive to stream audio, and Flash videos...forget it.

If you can find a site that would do it for free, then it would be worth your effort to learn how to use it. As they say..."Nothing is free."

Maybe you could set up a myspace music account and just put it there and post a link. Make sure it is myspace music though, because, unless you change the preferences, only friends can view the profile.
