Leaving tomorrow for a couple gigs in DC, anyone know of any trumpet shops / dealers worth a visit?
Thanks! _________________ When asked if he always sounds great:

Definitely Stu's. They have a great staff. Try to get there on a day when Larry's down in the shop and he'll show you some of the horns they have downstairs.

Definitely go to Chuck Levins too. They have more horns in stock than anyone else. The store is small, but the have a close offsite warehouse and you can try anything.
They also boast the lowest prices on instruments, period. _________________ Joe Petrocelli |

If you go to Chucks (which I highly recommend), make sure you ask for Lee in band sales. He's a great guy and will take great care of you.
I just bought a horn from him last month and will do more business with him in the future, I'm sure. _________________ Mark |

I have also bought about 4 horns from Roger Keiper. Good trumpet player, and he knows his business. _________________ Joe Petrocelli |

Thank you guys, looks like Levin's will be a stop while I'm there, sounds like it's accessable via metro. _________________ When asked if he always sounds great:

Well ...
Did you have a chance to drop by Chuck's and try some horns?
