I've been wanting to return to my 'roots' so to speak, but having trouble finding the horn I wanted. Well today that ended. I was able to find a MINT condition Benge LA 3x+, and when I say mint....this thing looks and feels brand new!
I am happier than a pig in mud. Wheeeeeee.....!!!!

Way to go, Keith!
The Benge 3X+ is one of my favorites, too. I recently sold a near-perfect example for a friend who had purchased it new many, many years ago. It played like a dream and I was barely able to resist buying it myself.

I think I find remarks like this most often when people refer to finding that Benge they dearly loved and now want again. I congratulate you, Keith, and will have to hold my squeal until I locate an early serial number 5x like I owned, LOL. Have fun with the horn!!

Way to go Keith!! Yeah man, there is definitely something special about finding
a great Benge...I've been fortunate enough to collect a few of them over the
years. One of my favorite LA horns is a late 70's 2x+, a real beauty and has a
sound unlike any other I've tried. Enjoy it and stay well!  |
