Many of us will be so upset. It seems that michael_martin of ebay, otherwise known here as Fatso_DiMartino has been suspended from ebay. I know that I, and probably others of you reported him for violation of ebay policies. I noticed, quite literally, after I reported him for a second time today - I went back to find out that the two mute listings were removed, and the user id was suspended. Drat! I also went to add a "all's well that end's well" to the original "I'm being flamed" posting, and noted that the little guy had finally come out of the closet to respond. But before I could add my comment, I guess the TH moderators thought that things were getting out of hand and killed the thread.
Any case, since he mentioned in his diatribe that he will be busy again with other of his ebay ID's, I mention that we may want to keep an eye peeled for similar ebay postings. I honestly feel that his attempt at bullying or whatever it is that he thinks he is doing belongs neither here, nor on ebay. Maybe he knows a little bit about mutes, and is a semi-pro, but the crud he was spewing has better places, like on the portapotty wall, right next to the other amateur artists.

I may have to stand corrected. The ebay name may have been martin_michael(s?), not michael_martin. Now that both his rants on ebay, and the thread here are gone, I"m not positive.

However, in any case, the guy is gone, and good riddance to the grand high exalted poobah of the portapotty. May his words rest in peace, at the bottom of the crapper, where they belong.

My suspicion is that as he has other ID's and we will see his "grand and ranting style" no matter which ID he uses? It could be that this person is "one french fry short of a Happy Meal" so we may not have heard the last of this prolific eBay seller. The saga continues!

Best wishes,

Lloyd

uhh-interesting. Looks like ebay took this one down also. Perhaps ebay is wise to using multiple ID's?
Shows "not a registered user", and all closed listings show as having been removed.
Also interesting, feedback given to others - null, zip, zilch, nada.

Damo.

We'll have to observe the "sister" to see if the same writing style, poor spelling, anger, cussing and nastiness originates from her keyboard. The pompous attitude and demeanor of the other seller will be difficult to suppress don't you think?

Best wishes,

Lloyd

Not to mention attacking for NO reason a nice guy trying to sell a mute.....What's up with that?????
I used to know a guy who used to shake his head at times like this and utter "They don't have them all locked up yet"..........

Lloyd,
I should have been clearer.
Ebay has already taken down the "sister", who is no longer a registered user. Therefore we will not see her use the same keyboard (ahem)"style".

Having read Fatso's (TH ID Fatso DiMartino)response to the "Help, I'm being flamed" thread (by the way, the moderators took that thread down I'm guessing no more than an hour after he "commented"), I would guess that when he comes back, it will be strong.

He commented (I'm paraphrasing) that he was going to "get busy" using his other ID's. Well, if ebay took down all of his ID's, that will only serve to further anger him, I think. He also commented that he would use the power of the internet to "take down" our $&^$(@* sissy forum.

So, I'm guessing that, unless he finds some zen real quick, he will look for ways to vent the anger. If he trashes the ebay rules again as a soapbox, under whatever name, I'll be happy to report.

People like him exaggerate their importance and are prepared to "get even" so to speak. His problem is his failure to realize people are on to him and will probably seek to stop him at every turn. People like him also think they are invincible which they really aren't.

Best wishes,

Lloyd

ConnArtist,
Uhh - Bozo died. At least the one true Bozo....
From a guy that spent the early, formative years in "da region", watching him and Ray R.
Hope he's not looking for me!

I think you "had to be there". About a year ago. On TH. There was a debacle involving a mysterious Strad, and a THer whose name started with a Q and ended with a bert. I'm sure he lurks or hangs around under a new name... they always do.

In the meantime, I'm keeping my eyes out on ebeigh.

Do we still care about this?

Why give attention to the crazy man in the corner? It will only encourage him.

It seems that Ebay has dealt with any bullying, and any victimization has been rectified. Wronged parties can feel free to correct me on this count.

I found the "expensive" mute was a fine example of the absurd, but not much more.

*yawn*

The link in the O/P again works and looks to be a nice horn. Whoever the sister Qbert may or may not be, it's no Sister Sadie. But wasn't Qbert West Coast?

Hello from the woodwind section! Seems one of our members ran into your favorite Sister on eBay and had a memorable experience with, uh... her.

The discussion is here. You might enjoy my discovery when I went looking to see who they were talking about (I'm known as bari_sax_diva on the forum).

Cheers,
Leanne

Leanne,

You showed the typical side of M_M that we have all come to expect from this person who has a love affair with himself/herself. The experience you shared goes to prove that he (she) has not taken a vow of silence, nor can be counted upon to share a gracious demeanor while being completely dishonest. It's people like that who give eBay at bad name. Rather sad to say the least.

Thanks for sharing!

Best wishes,

Lloyd
