I have aquired a model 25 Bach large bore. It is a Player. But it has a very sharp sound. I've use every type of mouthpiece from deep V ,heavy Monette to Claude Gordon none will quiet it's sharpness. It's got a 25 pipe on it ,would a 7 pipe be better or would a bell change do it. I'd rather not change the bell but i will if i have to. Any ideas would be helpful. I guess this is the nature of the beast. |

I am assuming that you are speaking about tone quality, not pitch.
Practice quietly.
Make the quiet quality, the warm quality of your forte playing.
I like the Bach LB horns.
You control the equipment, not vice verse.
