Selling my 1936 Reynolds Professional. This was the 1st year of production, serial number 518. I believe horn is original lacquer, which is in very good shape. The horn appears to be a low mileage original which I have owned for the past 12 years or so. Valves are very good with good sealing for its age. The horn has just a few small dings, and the leadpipe droops just a bit and has a few dings, but there is no evidence of resoldering. The lacquer on the bell shows evidence of a minor crease being smoothed out, but it was done extremely well and does not look like it was major trauma.

Most of these are .458 bore, but this one is more like .450. The bell flare is about 4 5/8", and it has a pretty open throat. My Olds Super bell has an open throat compared to most of my other horns, and mutes go in even further on this Reynolds. It will just barely hold on to my Denis Wick practice mute. The horn plays great with a good scale, great projection, but with a pretty warm sound overall. The horn has a solid weight to it.

You can see the feature on the lower leg of the tuning slide area; that is a quick change to A feature.

Again, while not perfect, this is a special vintage horn, and a great player. $400 USD plus shipping from Canada.
