This is a Conn 25A Bb Flugel horn. This was made a time when Conn was in the process of moving from the original Conn plant in Elkhart Indiana to Abilene Texas. The flugel horns with the Conn name at the time were being made in Switzerland by Willson, the renowned maker of compensating euphoniums. This flugel horn is a small bore of the style of the famous Couesnon French flugel horns that arrived on the jazz scene in the 1950's.

It is a professional quality instrument and is in good playing condition. Valve compression and action is good and all slides are smooth. It has had some dent work and there is a bit of lacquer wear, but overall a good looking instrument. Intonation is typical of Couesnon style flugel horns. This would be a great first flugel or for use by the player that has occasional use for a flugel. Comes with an unmarked flugel mouthpiece. The original case is included which has a little exterior wear, but is very usable. Has a slot for a Bb trumpet (not included) as well as the flugel and a small storage compartment under the flugel.
