|I’ve decided to sell my Bach Stradivarius Eb 239 Long Bell EL in Silver. The horn plays great BUT I went with a different setup. This horn plays GREAT and is the original configuration of these horns from their release which includes two normal leadpipe to bell braces vs the later models. This also has the steel bell wire like the newer 190 horns. I don’t know if it has a two piece casing but it plays very free and resonant. |
I have linked a recording of myself playing it on a section of the Hummel to give you an example of how it sounds. Using a stock 1-1/2C. The silver is 100% and only a couple small dings in the bell flare. No case or mouthpiece included.
This is the EL .459” bore vs the less desirable EXL .462”. Using a regular 1-1/2C it works great for orchestra playing or use a smaller piece like a 7C and it can give it a lighter chamber sound. This is the first Eb I ever found myself enjoying when I played it. This is also the bell model which is the popular choice for those who get Bach bells on their Schilke horns. Thanks for looking!
