SALE PENDING This is a post war Besson MEHA Bb trumpet in good original condition. This is a large bore (.470) trumpet that was the model used by Bach, Benge and others that became the standard for all other Bb trumpets in the 20th century. Exact manufacturing dates are sketchy, but this was most likely made in the late 1940's or early 1950's. It appears to have original parts, with the first slide saddle being a recent addition by the previous owner. It has certainly been replated in the past, but does have some areas of wear.

The previous owner had the valves replated and refitted by Dr. Valve. The leadpipe shows a number of dings, but it smooth on the inside, so rather than risk changing the playing characteristics, the pipe has not been replaced.

The horn plays well and is a great representative of what made these the iconic model of the contemporary trumpet.

Comes with an older case showing some wear.
