This is a rare York Feather Touch Master Model trumpet circa 1948 in fantastic original condition. The trumpet has 97 percent original lacquer and is shiny/smooth to the touch with a recent treating of lacquer preserver.

Trumpet is in gorgeous shape with NO RED ROT or Patches or any real dings.

Valves are in the sought out feather touch construction and still have the original springs and the valve action is really fast, faster than any vintage horn I ever played! Valve compression is really decent for the age and should respond nicely, horn plays like a great Blessing Super Artist with a sweeter darker tone but still has the fat dense sound and blow you would expect from a large bore Super Artist, HOWEVER this horn is a .460 bore.

The attention to detail in the styling and construction of this horn is incredible, in styling of this trumpet is up there with the Buescher 400 225s, King Libery Silvertones, Martin Handcraft Imperial ect.
Looking at the horn in its different ares, you will see everything from the valve baulisters, reciever, valve top and bottom caps, crooks, bracing will have geometrical octacon styling. There is an thick underslung 3rd slide ring and a 1st slide sadle, double braced tuning slide tubes and side operated water key. Thick styled reciever. The bell is red brass and has a garland tone ring around the bell flare that is engraved. Horn was either built by Blessing for York or York built a feather touch that shared some parts with the Blessing Super Artists. THERE IS A PATENT STAMPING # 1922635 on the first valve casing, not sure if that is a Blessing or York PATENT.

Another bonus... you should say is that apparently one of my Giardinelli New York 5M (5 rim) screwrim mouthpieces got stuck into the horn's reciever and I could not get it out. I will include the stuck mouthpiece and it shouldn't take much for a skilled brass tech to remove it.

I'm selling this horn a long with others becuase I'm taking a break from brass collecting and playing, so this is part of the last batch of horns from my collection.

Asking 500 free shipping to CONUS, No Case but will be packed generously for shipping.
