Reduced to $845 Or Best Offer! A boutique horn from Cannonball and B&S, this trumpet has an open blow and a big, clear sound. Certainly one of the more impressive new-ish trumpets I can recall playing. An extremely solid feel in the hand; I'd put this against any trumpet I've had and it would fare quite well. Silver plating is 99%; only a few scratches hinder it from being 100%. Excellent valve and slide action; a great sounding, easy playing horn.

.459" bore, 4.921" bell, one-piece hand-hammered bell, monel pistons, 3rd valve screw-style stopper, heavy-wall mouthpiece receiver. I had a Cannonball Lynx a few years ago that impressed me; it was a light-weight lead-type horn. This horn, more of a general, do-it-all horn (with a 37ish bell, I imagine) is truly ear-catching. This is probably the closest you'll get to B&S's top quality Exquisite Series, but for thousands less. Yes; I am impressed with this horn. Why sell it? I have accumulated almost 16 Bb trumpets (way too many), this is imminently sellable, and I need a bit more resistance to blow against.

Problems? There is a small crease in the bell (not noticeable from all angles, pretty minor) and a ding about 4" up from the bell flare. Charly Melk looked at pics and quoted me less than $50 to fix both, but shipping to him and back would cost me $60. I have no brass repair techs within driving distance of me. There is one tiny, pin-point of metal deterioration on the leadpipe right at the pinky-hook. Not a serious consideration to me; in this condition it would last me years. The remainder of the leadpipe appears quite clean and clear. There are a few scratches, too, primarily around the bottom of the valve block.

Larger file pics available by email. Also, I was using a lacquered 2nd finger button; the new (matching) Cannonball finger button is now in place. :)

No case, no mouthpiece, shipping within the ConUS $45. I prefer FedEx; they're not cheap but I've never had a problem with them. Can do USPS or UPS if you prefer, USPS may save you a buck or two. Larger file pics available. If essential, a simple case can be provided, but I prefer shipping without a case.
