For sale is this beautiful vintage Martin Comittee in excellent condition. It has a some lacquer wear on the leadpipe and tuning slide (but no sign of red rot), a previous owner had the bell finished with a brushed satin and the valves and slides work perfectly.. considering it was made in 1947 it’s in amazing condition. Comes with the original case.
I believe this is the no. 2* bore so the medium large and it plays famously warmly, as expressed here better than I could convey by the great jazz trumpet player Kevin Dean: https://youtu.be/Gw_iuEQD-Fc
My only reason for selling is that I am an orchestral player and as fun as it is picking this up now and again, it needs to be out there being played! |
